Link up with Chris herz
2 09 2011This afternoon we had the opportunity to link up with an author from over in new york. Chris Herz, started out on the streets convincing strangers to take a look at what his written. While doing this and taking a huge risk out on the streets, a reorter heard of what he’d done and decided to write an acticle on him. That’s when a publisher gave him a chance of publishing his books. Throughout the hour of Chris talking, he was able to give a lot of great advice along the way.
By encouraging all the students watching to take a chance and write how you feel, Chris Herz gave us a very good influence. He told us that where ever he gets inspiration, he will write it down. Whether it’s on paper, computer, his hand or napkins. I like how he used all different sorts of technology like facebook, typewriter and paper and pen.
I was amazed by how confident he was towards us, that he was able to go out of his way to make a point. By acting the way his characters would act in real life, it shows how different everyone is.
To sum up it was a great period of information and a good influence for the students that attended. By the way he talked about what it’s like to be a writer, he has made that industry very interesting. It was a great opportunity to understand the mind of a writer :)
